About Me

15880544898_e21d192db5_zI have always been particularly interested in the application of computer-mediated communication and social networking technologies among producers and consumers of legal information. I teach and write in the areas of legal ethics, information privacy, law and technology, and social media and networking technologies. My courses include Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Information Privacy, Computer Crime, Electronic Discovery, and seminars on legal ethics and privacy and surveillance.

I am a co-founder and blogger at Behavioral Legal Ethics, and I occasionally blog at Out of the Jungle and Legal Ethics Forum.

From 2000 to 2008 I was Director of the Law Library and Vice Dean for Legal Information Services. Prior to UB, I worked as Head of Computing Services at Saint Louis University School of Law, and Associate Director for Information and Technology at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
